In Belmont, the floor you want refinished is usually old solid wood. More than half the town's houses went up before 1940, and a solid floor can take another sanding. Sanding each 1,000 square feet is 21 to 46 working hours of machine time, and the sanding level decides the number. A water-based coat is dry in 1 to 2 hours, which lets us lay a second one the same day. The estimator gives you a price range before anyone visits.
